Warm air is good for the first few minutes or so. Your rabbit should have a thermostatic valve in it that allows intake vacuum to pull a flap that diverts cold air into the inlet once the temperature gets above a certain level. Cold air is much better as it contains more lumps of oxygen per cylinder full. Them short aftermarket filters have a very small filter area. They clog quicker and restrict flow. I have a 2007cc motor in my Notch. I'm considering adapting the stock filter to fit. I did start to make my own filter. It's then that I realised what a fine piece of kit the stock item is.
