below is exactly what I meant, I dug and found many of the spot welds...I think I will sawzall the old pans out leaving an inch or two near the tunnel, then just drill and pry the little bit left off, leaving me a nice new welding area. I am used to the vw vans, which are quite different... Sorry if I posed a cloudy question....
