Well, I spent some time with my new girl today trying to get through her brakes. I had previously determined that the rubber hoses were shot and I was able to source them locally. Turns out the '66 does not have any T3 specific brake hoses unlike some of the other years. Anyway, I also replaced the center rear brake line with the stainless steel one that I got from Jim. Figured now was better than after I soaked the new carpet I will eventually put in her. Job was really not too bad. I still have to bend the MC end to fit, but the rest is installed. I planned to upgrade to my recently rebuilt dual circuit MC, but decided to keep the original for now since it was not stuck and the fluid that came out of it looked pretty good for being 10+ years old. Part of it was reducing the extra work, too. I was not sure what to do with the pressure sensors since I went from one with 2 prong electric to two with 3 prong electric. Plus I would have needed to purchase and bend up one new hard line to the left front wheel since the original would not reach. I am still trying to get her running by this Friday for the show at work. I did run into one problem....I twisted off the bleed nipple for one of the rear wheel cylinders......DUH-OH!!! I will try to get it out, but am going to look for a new one too. Oh well.....POR-15ing the pan tomorrow I hope.
