Don, I have used various "tents" for painting for a long time now, and they work great if you set them up right. At one end of the "booth" you need a rather large fan (24"x24" or so) preferably reversible, and a speed control if possible (check out Salvation Army stores, etc.,get an old one-it will be covered w/paint!) Wrap the sheeting(from tent) around the edges & tape (for an airtight seal) Now at the opposite end, fasten either a heater or air conditioner filter element (again-bigger is better) the same way the fan is sealed "into" the tent. The idea is to create a flow of clean air through the enclosure (the cleaner the air flow-the cleaner your paint job will be! I like to hose down everything immediately prior to the tack coat (including the outside of that filtering element) Test it all when you are inside, turn on the fan(blowing outside, start w/ lowest setting) the walls of your booth will start to "suck in" (may need xtra reinforcement of the walls)(you'll be suprised at the pressure differential-my 1st attempt almost collapsed on me!) and you should feel a continuous "breeze" of cool air coming through the filter . If all works ok,let it run for an hour or so, just to be safe.(It beats having to peel your tent off your freshly painted vehicle!!!) Also, don't forget a good respirator! Good Luck!
