At last I have removed the ball joint. Heat and lots of force was not enough to remove the nut. I used a saw to remove the nut instead. Then I heated the trailing arm with a propane torch and coult easily tap out the ball joint. Thanks to all on the list who helped me! Now I have another problem instead... When I look up into the tapered part of the trailing arm I see that the ball joint only have contact with the outer (= lower) 10 mm of the trailing arm taper. The inner (=upper) part, closest to the almost round hole, will not have contact with the ball joint. I can't decide wether it is supposed to look like this, or if the inner parts of the taper have rusted away. Does anyone know?
