It's in most of the books I'm familiar with. Russ found it in the Bentley, I found it in the Muir and I'm sure that Bill Fisher covers it. I looked in the Haynes manual and did not find it there. > I figure if I have a dual releif case that is not > from the 60's, it would use a dished cam. Crank gears are only sold as one size, although I suppose they may vary. You're supposed to choose an appropriate cam to make up for the variation in everything else, mostly in the spacing of the case. The first 2 years of dual port cases came with the flat cam. While most of these could be retrofitted with the later dished cam you have to be careful since there were different versions of the holes in the case and how they mate up to the pump. There is at least one generation of case for which you can no longer buy a proper pump. I don't know any way to tell other than by just looking closely to make sure that things line up. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
