Thanks for the info Leon!  I have heard of the cam gear failure before... and 
the only thing that was found on one of the engines was that the cam had to 
much front to back movement... worn block thrust areas.

You could probably use a Engle W100 cam with the new gears that they sell.  
These have worked well in my FI engine rebuilds... closer to the 914 grind 
from what I understand from Engle. I do believe that the dished gears are 
available at Kustom 1 Warehouse, 1-888-997-9894. They are in Orange, Ca. You 
can also call Engle at 310-450-0806. They are in Santa Monica, Ca.
