I believe that you've forgotten about the welded stroker crankshafts. These
are stock cranks that have been counterweighted and the rod journals are
welded on one side. They are then offset ground to the new stroke. they
usually use non-crossdrilled cranks (for strength after modification) and
weld little tabs on the rod journals (if the stroke is longer than say 78mm)
to control the oil coming out of the rod journal as well as the rod itself.
If you see the little tabs welded on the rod journals, then you probably
have a 78 or 82mm crank. I'd recommend sending it to a machine shop for
measurment.

Berg should have all of the instructions with his parts. He uses 2 oil
fittings together to go into the case on the type 3 to clear with as little
modification to the surrounding parts. I don't remember the details, but I
believe that they are in the Berg book of instructions. I highly recommend
his part number GB801SET. this is his book of instructions and Technical
manual. After the Bentley, this is the most important set of books that you
can buy. I use his pressure relief covers. Always. You'll never blow off an
oil filter as I once did. I also don't recommend the cast iron pumps as they
don't expand with the case and bleed around the pump body once the case has
warmed and expanded. High pressure when cold, low pressure when hot!

Just my two cents, Kelly
