Sorry to put a spoke in this threads wheels, but, according to the Bentley (late model) the correct lubricant for the steering box is still transmission oil (80-90SAE). I remember a old mechanic telling me that by putting grease into a steering box one causes it to fail prematurely. I degreased mine and replaced it with 90SAE , unfortunately some of it leaked out - I probably need to replace the oil seals.
