----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel Baum <dbaum@isdn.net.il> At the time the K70 was developed, > VW and Audi were not the same company. > > Anybody know any more details? > > Daniel. > > The K70 was a "conventional" alternative in NSU's range to the infamous rotary engine Ro80. The "K" stands for "Kolben"; pistons in German. The two cars share a number of similarities, including inboard disc brakes at the front, which are a pig to work on. Other than that, and the Ro80's tendency to wear out the engine seals, they could have been quite good cars. Certainly the K70 is very spacious and comfortable. However, this thread's getting a bit OT, so maybe we'd better knock it on the head! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
