VW bought the Auto Union, which consisted of Audi and NSU (and originally some other companies e.g. Wanderer, Horch and DKW) in 1969, and rebadged what was to have been an NSU as the K70. At the time the K70 was developed, VW and Audi were not the same company. Anybody know any more details?
