Either way you should buy this book: How to Hotrod Volkswagen Engines by Bill Fisher published by H. P. Books, Tucson, AZ, 1970 ISBN 0-912656-03-4 (excellent book, well written and researched) This has good explanations and drawings of how/where the fitting must go in the case. If you do it yourself you can use this as a guide. If your case is apart and needs case savers or an align bore then I strongly recommend that you just ship it to RIMCO and let them do it. They are really quite cheap for what you get, and they do a good job. The book does NOT cover what you need to do to get the plumbing to clear in front of the fan housing. Suffice it to say that you do NOT have to modify the fan housing at all if you use the right combination of 3 street elbows. The Fisher book is FULL of lots of good stuff that is well researched and well explained. It's still in print and no one who thinks they would like to do a particularly good job on an engine rebuild should be without it. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
