Of course there is also the environmental side and the cost of gas which spills out, plus the chance of your car going up in smoke due to someone's carelessly tossed cigarette. The biggest problem is the water and dirt that is thrown into the tank when you drive in the rain. This can damage or destroy the tank, pump, injectors and pressure regulator, all without your realizing that it is a problem. I have taken a couple of quarts of water out of tanks of cars which still ran (although poorly) and the owners had no idea that water was the cause and gas smell was the symptom. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
