Check your CV joint bolts and the lug bolts at the wheels. Make sure they
are all tight. Grab the axle shafts and yank them hard axially back and forth.
They should move but not grind or feel rough. If there is roughness, or if the
boots are torn, you should pull out the CV shafts and service them. You
might need to replace a CV joint. Note that the CV bolts are NOT Allen bolts;
they require a metric spline wrench (XZN) to remove them; the size is 8mm.

Which engine do you have? If this is FI, then a 73 should be timed to the
third marker from the left. If yours is the dual carb engine then someone else
need to chime in.

In either case you should make sure that both the vacuum and mechanical
advance parts of your distributor are working smoothly.
