You can swap in the whole gauge cluster, or just the meter part 
which removes easily from the back of the cluster. Consider the 
latter because there may be some minor appearance differences in 
the faces.

Yes, I can generally fix these, and the charge is $55 including 
return shipping in the US. This is a common problem and the fix 
will repair both the regular and the trip odometer. I can't do any 
restoration of the appearance of the unit, but I will clean it up as 
nicely as possible.

If you want this done, email me off list and mail me the speedo 
along with a check (or you can use PayPal.) There is some chance 
that the problem will be something I can't fix; in that case I will 
return your uncashed check and the speedo in its original condition 
at my own expense. So far, I've never had to do that.
