I believe all the turn signal bulbs should be dual filament bulbs. You can easily tell if you look at the bottom of the socket when you take the bulb out. If there are 2 brass finger contacts there, then it is expecting a dual filament bulb. It is common for these brass contacts to get a layer of oxidation on them that prevents good contact. I clean them off with a dental tool while the power is off. Put a little grease on all the metal parts to prevent this from recurring. > On the RF headlight I have bright but no normal. Of course checking for bad fuses and broken wires is okay, but knowing a little more can really help you narrow the search. Is this car still 6V? If so, make sure that you're buying 6V bulbs, which are pretty hard to find these days. 12V bulbs in a 6V car will appear to be dead. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
