Not ALL... I had the rustiest 73 that ever existed... died of a collapsed frame head... but the rear wheel well seam was PERFECT!! But my really solid 71 had the rust problem Jim describes. I sandblasted it all away, painted it, and RTV'd it all shut, that was nearly 15 years ago in the days before POR 15 and the like but the repair has held up just fine. I think the cars in hotter climates have more of a problem because once the factory tar undercoat cracks your toast in a few years.
