I know that Forged is the way to go (if you can afford it). I've been trying to decide if i should use a stock counter weighted (forged) crank, or buy new Scat CW 69mm Crank (cast i believe). I read in "Hot VW's" that the cast crank is fine as long as you don't over do the revs. if its not worth it in the long run to use the cast crank then i'll save up the extra dough for a forged unit. BTW: are the Scat cranks any good to begin with?
