I have just acquired a 1977 Type 3 Variant that has been dry stored for the past 15 years and has done just 40000 miles before that. It is in remarkable shape and a good clean and service may be all it needs. I have just one problem at the moment. After 15 years nobody knows where the ignition key is. All the instructions that I have been able to find for removing the locks assume that you have a key. How do I remove the ignition key and steering lock assembly?
