>>I just bought a 66 Fastback, dual carbs and Eberspacher(sp?). The only badge on it is 'TS' with a circle around it. No VW1500 or 1600 or anything else.<< Congratulations, I think you've got a VW of Canada "TS" model. The Canadian TS badge is fairly rare. >>during the 1960s, the Canadian importer of twin-carb1500S versions of the VW Type 34 Karmann Ghia used to sell these vehicles with a small logo with a "TS" in a circle attached to the rear next to the number plate.<< I have some mid-60s Canadian sales material that suggests the TS was also applied to other Type 3s, not just the Ghia. I think the badge on the 66 Fastback is probably original. The Eberspacher is additional evidence of its Canadian-ness.
