The 67 dual carbs did not have isolators, and I had assumed that none 
of them did until I was corrected by Perl, I believe. They seem like 
a good idea to me, but I don't think they existed before the FI came 
in.

It's most likely that what he has are a pair of beetle heads; they 
never used the isolators.
