180 on the crank is the same as 90 on the distributor. If you turn the fan pulley 180-degrees you'll see the distributor rotor turn only 90-degrees. The flat spot, 180-degrees from the other timing marks, is the one you want. Don't be so literal, 180-degrees is 180-degrees and those flat spots are what you want. The most accurate alignment is by the fan pulley as this is bolted *directly* to the crank.
