Hello All,
The custom resto is just about done and I'm now onto the minuscule
details.... like making sure my rear deck lid seal lays perfectly and
such...
I have a problem I am frustrated about.
You know that piece that screws into your valve stem on the spare, the
hose that goes to a screw in valve/pressure contraption that is secured
by screwing it down into the fluid reservoir bottle for the windshield
wiper fluid ....
Well, that valve pressure control thing seems to fail... a lot. I have
3 of them. All of them have worked at one time. I recently boug#^{H Bosch piece.... worked for about a week, then just stopped. So
what's the deal? The rest of the system is free and clear. The valve I
am supposing, is supposed to pressurize the bottle when I screw it in,
but it is not.... I can't seem to figure out how exactly it is supposed
to work. I have even cut one in half but it remains a mystery.
I don't know what's causing them to fail, and I am about ready to weld
up a little pressure container to work in place of this crazy
contraption. But I'd rather not....
Any ideas?
Charlie
BTW Jason, pulled your pulley, it will be in the mail Tuesday.
