These sound kinda' like the "fire injectors" my Dad had in his 57 bug in
the 60's.
I think he got them from JC Whitney. There were several electrodes
surrounding the center pin.
I don't know if they increased performance, but he didn't have to change
them *forever*... however when the car started running like crap one day,
it took a while to figure out they were no longer working properly. New
normal plugs made the car run great. The fire injectors didn't *look* bad,
but I guess the air gap had eroded away enough that they wouldn't fire
reliably. They were good f?Í years though.
