Oh yessirreee! I replaced them twice (new, from Bugpack), I stretched the
springs to make them stiffer (yes it works), I tried to switch their places, I
tried to use two grooved pistons, I tried two non grooved pistons, you name it,
I did it. The only thing I didn't try was no pistons at all. I still suspect
the Brazilian oil pump.
As I said earlier, I replaced or measured everything in the oil system the
second time I rebuilt the engine, except for the pump. I assumed it was in ok
condition, since it was a new pump.
