Re: type3-d Digest V99 #356


Hope this guy never works on anything of mine!  There's a lot of
differences between engine blocks on bug and T3, so don't let him kid
you.  The later models have a rear crossbar engine mount that bolts to
the block between the fan an定Q8gine block.  Bugs don't have
provision for that and I don't think the bug's provisions for checking
and adding oil will fit under the engine cover.  Not to mention if
you're hauling a load, you'd have to unload it to add oil.   No
telling what other "improvements" the guy has made.  If it were me,
I'd pass on it.
