Sure it's appealing, but my understanding is that the oil pressure in our galleys is just not high enough to properly support hydraulic lifters. Gene Berg said years ago that he was working with several sources to see if they could come up with a system that worked and he also made it clear that if anyone else could sell something and make money at it, he could, too. All that is lacking is a system that really works. If it were out there, Berg would be selling it. Besides, I think all hi performance engines use solid lifters because of the tendency of hydraulics to mis-behave at high rpms. So why work your way backwards?
