Everyone please note!: The black-case idea is a theoretical model only! 
It is NOT a good idea to paint the case. Magnesium needs to breathe. A 
*clean* case is good for cooling, and a matte-finish case is good for 
cooling. A black case adds a layer of stuff that isšuÝ³d for 
cooling unless you compare it to paint of another color, which is worse. 
Tin yes, case or cylinders or heads, no!

=> I know you can buy black tinware new, but how would you paint it?

Mine is powder-coated. Most folks just clean it up, maybe strip the old 
paint off, and lay on with the Krylon.
