I'd love a Quaife as well 8) But at a price over $1100 I think I'l耒葦l after-market FI first. I agree, though, on the rest. Why not go with a beefed up VW tranny? Mine is a Type I with a Super Diff and she can take one helluva beating. I do have the Berg 5-speed and love it (we'll see how much more once I get my engine back in) but I know the standard trannies can be built extremely tough for a HECK of a lot less money! And you can keep your stock linkage and shifter...
