The other one is probably about 14ftlbs or so. What you have done won't hold for long. I'm afraid there is only one option: rebuild the engine and install "case savers" for the studs. This is the ONLY permanent fix. You can choose your moment to do this, but you will either have to get your case fixed, get another used case fixed, or get a new case. If you go with the 1st option, I recommend that you send the case to RIMCO and have them install 16 case savers, including one "deep sink," and also align bore the case. Considering what they do, they do it quite cheaply--and they do it well. They provide the main bearings as part of the price, so you need to tell them what size your crank journals will be so the ID will fit your crank.
