Howdy, howdy... Fun stuff today. Just doin' the usual tune-up and found that one of the head nuts was loose. As in not even applying pressure to the head. I guess I am lucky it didn't fall off and cause more damage. Anyways, I tightened up the bottom four for the time being. BUT I noticed the inside #4 nut wouldn't tighten. I am hoping it isn't pulling out of the case on the other side, but, uh, yeah. Doesn't look good. I double checked to make sure the stud was not turning, which is wasn't, so I stopped before more damage was done. Thus, all I have done to this point is tighten three of the four lower head nuts to 23ftlbs. The other one is probably about 14ftlbs or so. These are what I think my options are: 1) Leave it as is and just tighten the nuts as they come loose. Wait until a rebuild to take care of this properly. 2) Pull the engine, tighten all of the nuts but that one. 3) Rebuild it. Engine runs great right now. The other sid 2) is fine. Any suggestions?
