Whatever you blast with will stick in places that you will never suspect and only come out when you pump oil through the engine: instant death. If you want to clean it, just send it to RIMCO for case savers and align boring (these are both things you really want to have done.). They clean it as part of the job. Otherwise just use parts solvent or a steam cleaner.
