> What component(s) does this wrench fit? Is it for the generator >pulley? It's too small for the exhaust, right? > I tried it on various things on my Notch, it only fits the inside generator pulley "nut". The owner's manual shows an owner using a 21mm and a 27mm wrench on the generator pulley, 21mm for the actual nut and the 27mm to hold the inside spacer/nut/thingy. It is also not listed as a formal part of the tool kit in the 1964 and 1965 owner's manuals but it is listed in the parts book page that I provided earlier. I did notice that my '63 Notch came with some of the stuff on that scanned page that is also not listed in the owner's manuals I own. I'm not sure if the "real" wrench should be a Hazet one but the wrenches were in a VW box, I will find out what the part # was on the box and report back. Here's the scan again: http://www.thes[¾^è/temp/27mm.jpg I assume this wrench would fit other Volkswagens as well sit the generator nuts are a common piece.
