Seems obvious to me; it's telling you to check out and clean its complete starting circuit, all the connections (including the one under the carpet, or by the battery in later models). You see, they always try to work, but it's their way of telling you they need help without actually letting you down. "Inanimate objects"? Toby, shame on you!
