My 21st Birthday present from my parents was a Blaupunkt Bremen
fitted to my '59 Beetle.  As it was then '67, it came with grey
knobs.  When my parents passed their '64 Squareback to me in '74,
its Blaupunkt radio had the ivory knobs, so I swapped them to make
both correct for their cars.  The Type 3 kit was not up to the
quality of the radio - a bent bracket to bolt under the dash, an
aluminium faceplate, the knobs and a foam/vinyl cover to hide the
ugly box.
