Re: [T3] Carb Sync

Jason=> well it is a new 1641 GEX motor with an engle 110 cam

I hope it works out well for you.

Very important. Before you do any more on this engine, I would urge you
to get hold of a good manual and study up on the timing procedures.
There's nothing more important to the longevity and performance of your
engine other than keeping enough oil in it. If you need a manual
recommendation or source, let us know. I don't mean to hold out on you,
but there is a fair amount of standard information that you should have
in your hand and your head before you proceed.

Another angle: Adrian Thomas directed the following to me personally,
but I think he probably meant it for the list:

I had a backfire on my beetle recently, spent ages tying to work it out.
Then, last week, the backfire got seriously bad & the exhaust got
_extremely- noisy.

When I checked, the nuts holding the cylinder #2 header on had fallen off.

New gaskets, new nuts (on the whole exhaust system) -> no more backfire.

Remember kids, don't try this in your Beetle!
