Hello All, Blessed New Years to ya too! OK, so I was forced to allow someone else to replace my clutch as I have only a parking lot to work in and there is 2 feet of snow on the ground. My car sits for 2 weeks.... and it starts! Hurray! I drive around for an evening, park and go to bed dreaming of all the fun I can have tomorrow in the snow in an empty parking lot in my square... however (doom and gloom-type music)... This morning it wouldn't start.... and it's been cold too. So, I figure... hmm, maybe vapor lock... where's that WD40? Nope. Still wouldn't start. So I'm stumped, and it's too dam cold to do much outside without gloves. Not to mention I now have a gas leak. See Jim, I knew I was due! The leak is right on the top where the intake air distributor sits. There is fuel leaking from a fuel line that goes in diagonally to the bottom and connects to the oil bath. Any Ideas? Cold Start Valve? Now I know the usual reasons a car won't start but I'm not terribly knowledgable about FI systems, but I'm learning. The only thing I can think of is that there is moisture in the fuel lines somewhere or something is frozen. I am about ready to have it towed in to throw some more money I don't have at a guy who doesn't love my car like I do. Is this prostitution? At this point I would gladly give my left (you know...) for someone to teach me the basics and let me work on my car in their place.... I wish there was someone around who'd let a dumb-ass kid with a mouth full of questions just hang around and learn. Question: Do injectors freeze? What normal (ha!) problems to 1600 FI engines experience in the cold?
