Our FI can't get vapour lock because the fuel pump PUSHES the gas rather than SUCKING it. Nope. Still wouldn't start. So I'm stumped, and it's too > dam cold to do much outside without gloves. The cold start valve is mounted to the lower right side of the intake air distributor. None of the fuel lines connect to the air filter. Yes, these leaks always get worse in cold weather. That's just because the rubber both contracts and loses resilence, hence poorer sealing. > Now I know the usual reasons a car won't start but I'm not terribly > knowledgable about FI systems, but I'm learning. It is most likely that it is flooded; yes, it CAN happen. Charge up your battery and then find the fuel pump relay under the dash, on the firewall, just to the left of the steering column. Pull off the translucent white connector from that relay while you try to start it, Keep cranking and if it starts to fire release the key and plug the relay back in quickly. If you time this just right you may get it started. I had to do this last week when it got cold here. For some reason I seem to have trouble every year the first time it gest cold.
