Re: [T3] Rear Wheel Noise, question?

Wheel bearings aren't hard, just kind of messy. The biggest thing is
removing the hub nut, long cheater pipe with a long breaker bar or
impact wrench needed. Pretty much has to be done with the tire on, on
the ground, with the brakes set. You have to remove all the
socket-head bolts from the outer CV joint, then drop the axle.
Bearings just knock out. A bearing driver is nice for reinstalling,
but I made do with a rawhide mallet. You'll need the seal kit, the
ones I had covered all years, swing and IRS, so there were extra
parts, same kit as a bug. You might consider regreasing CVs at the
same time. Might be a CV joint, have never had one go bad, but I've
heard they kind of click when they're going. Have to disassemble and
clean to really see if they're worn.
