I just recently moved to the Seattle area and with some luck and
perfect timing was able to find a beautful '73 fastback. She's tan and in
great shape. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember and it is
amazing to finally have one. I previously owned a '68 bus about 3 years ago
and I sure missed having a vw. I'm wondering if anyone out there is from
up here and if you ever meet up, sort of let all our cars meet and talk vw
stuff. I have seen a two fastbacks and a few squarebacks and one white
notch that was quite nice. I also saw a tv comercial for tampax that
featured a girl driving an orange fastback in the country. Has anyone else
seen that? I could hardly believe my eyes.
I have to add that I enjoyed the fact that bus owners typically all
wave to each other on the road and wondered if type 3 owners would wave as
well. I am happy to report that I was waved at by a white squareback a few
months ago and it made my day.
