Very common problem, very simply and cheaply fixed (if that's what it is), but often mistaken for "Sorry, but the whole FI system is shot and we will just have to put on carbs because that's the only thing we understand. $600 please." > Transmission ok although not nearly the same tactile grab mine has. But > definitely not right. Rear drum brakes probably just need to be adjusted. Adjusters probably need to be freed up first. If you can do it yourself, checking the compression and adjusting the valves is a good thing to do. If it passes these then it is worth $1200. If there is a good reason, besides rust, that the driver's seat is ÁHÿe en $1500, maybe. Then you have to consider whether YOU want to now be responsible for parking 2 cars in NYC?
