Pump stops when you pull the plastic connector off and starts when it's back on. And yes, I can hear it clunk. I have also checked the blue/yellow input with a voltmeter and it seems that the under dash relay is working fine. I cleaned up the wires, the blue/yellow one might actually be blue and white but it's hard to say. >The red wire that feed power to the relay should come from the fuse >box and should NOT go on and off with the hazard light. The flashers aren't causing the pump to run anymore. I had it out for a spin yesterday and heard a pop noise from under the back seat (left hand side) so perhaps something burned out. I didn't smell anything but today the flashers aren't doing anything to the pump. Yesterday the flasher unit caused 12 volts to be supplied to the fuel pump relay, today they don't. Flasher have a wire which is always hot. I pulled the fuse on them. They stopped but the pump still runs all the time. Is the relay under the back seat shared by the flashers and fuel pump? There are about half a dozen wires going into it underneath and a brown earth wire. I had a look inside the brain, though the end which opens up. All the wires are white. There wasn't any damage that I could spot using a MagLite and it didn't smell like anything had burnt out.
