Further more, with the ignition off, if you turn on the hazards the fuel pump runs in time with the flashers (on-off-on-off) The fuel pump relay under the dash seems to be behaving properly when checked with an AVO meter (VOM for the US). There is a 12 V supply switching it on-off-on-off in time with the hazards (measured on the blue/yellow wire). >Do you have a circuit diagram? Is it worth checking the output from the Brain? I think the fuel pump cut off is on terminal 19. I don't see how a problem there would explain the hazard warning interaction. >wires may have damaged the hazard flasher switch. Any burning smells? No and it's done a couple of hundred miles in the last week. What can I check with the hazard switches? What can I check with the ECU? Is that the bigger of the two metal boxes (about 1x1x2") on the front of the back seat? I guess the big one on the side is the regulator. It looks like there are 1 red, 1 gray, 2xgray with black and the blue/yellow wire going into this one. Beside it is a smaller box (1" cube) and there is a black wire with what looks like an inline fuse holder on it. The pump was working fine before I had the heater channels and some other bits welded so it seems he has reconnected something wrongly. >Glad to hear the calendar arrived OK. People in school were discussing FHM/Perelli calendars and I had to say that I was looking forward to a Type 3 one. aedan --------------------------------------------------------- Cyberdog ---A Product of Apple Computer, Inc. --------------------------------------------------------- 1971 VW fastback 1989 Volvo 240GL Our enemies shall talk themselves to death, and we will bury them with their own confusion.
