I'm gonna feel real dumb (yet elated) if that's all it is....I hope it is all just as easy as the suggestions I've been getting.... one more quick note... while the dist was off... I tuned the breaker plate clockwise (only about an inch or less) and held with my finger the whole on the vacuum advance... the breaker plateŃo ż went back... did I test it right?.. this means somethings not right , right?....
