I missed a camping date with my teenage sweety over that very problem. So sad... Theres a offset tab on the bottom on the disti- I'm sure your seen it. What probably happened is that you didn't quite get the notch all the way into its cam in the engine- you have to turn the roter while pressing down while everything is loose to get it in there. You will thinnk you have it in, then all of a sudden, it goes down another 1/2 inch and all is well. Mine wasn't quite in and kept slipping out, eventually leaving me scared to drive it...
