Jim is right...just pull the mirror straight back and it will pop loose.
As for the doors, replacing the scrapers isn't a big deal providing you
have replacements that fit correctly. I had to move all the hardware from
one door to another last fall and it was a straightforward task that took
me about 1 hour. If you're using low quality scrapers, though (and we know
they're out there) the time required for replacement will definitely vary.

Subject: RE: [T3] questions
I've never tried to get the mounting inside the roof off for the rvm, but
if
you just put your hand on the 'stem' of the mirror, and give a nice, hearty
tug, the mirror will pop off in your hand.
i have a '73 fastback that's been hit by a train for my parts car
for my
other '73 fastback. i've pretty much stripped the whole interior,
but i am
having trouble figuring out how to remove the interior mirror and i
don't
want to break it in the process. has anyone done this before? i need
to get
the whole thing off, including the part that actually attaches to
the roof.
should i pry the vinyl covering off, or will that damage it? also
does anyone
have any suggestions about disassembling doors? i am going to
replace all the
seals and scrapers. thanks for any advice that you might have.
