RE: [T3] questions

I've never tried to get the mounting inside the roof off for the rvm, but if
you just put your hand on the 'stem' of the mirror, and give a nice, hearty
tug, the mirror will pop off in your hand.

As far as the doors are concerned, take out the one screw holding the panel
on, take off the window crank, and slowly and gently pop each of the clips
off. The panel will then lift up and out from there. Mechanical breakdown
is a mystery to me, but I will voraciously read any posts regarding this, as
I've got a fairly sticky driver's side window mechanism, and a lock cylinder
to replace on the PS.

i have a '73 fastback that's been hit by a train for my parts car
for my
other '73 fastback. i've pretty much stripped the whole interior,
but i am
having trouble figuring out how to remove the interior mirror and i
don't
want to break it in the process. has anyone done this before? i need
to get
the whole thing off, including the part that actually attaches to
the roof.
should i pry the vinyl covering off, or will that damage it? also
does anyone
have any suggestions about disassembling doors? i am going to
replace all the
seals and scrapers. thanks for any advice that you might have.
