oofacts=> Wait a minute, I'm unclear here. The air that would be flowing to your heat exchangers is *cooling* air when it arrives. After absorbing waste heat from the exchangers it becomes heating air at your feet. The source of heat in your exchangers is the exhaust, and without cooling air from your fan the aluminum heat exchangers can overheat. When you turn the heat off in the car, you flip a valve that just dumps the air from the exchangers outside. Air continues to flow over the fins. => Are you saying that it's bad for the heat to go from the very hot => heat exchangers to the heads, or good? Except at warmup time, more heat to the heads is always bad. Steven Ayres, Prescott AZ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
