Last time I dropped by there (last July) I DID see some pretty good fenders on a couple of cars there-- a really ugly purple square comes to mind.. And that '65 square in there is in decent shape, complete and straight, no big dents, all original (and uncracked) Hella taillight and headlights. The upholstery was dirty, but mostly rip-free as I recall. Asking price was $1000, but he was quick to add that he sells everything for less than the "asking price". They are also very friendly. But, yes, they really don't have a whole lot in the way of Type 3 right now. The place just across the street from Bud (I forgot the name) has a non-VW yard, but in July there was a mostly gutted late(?) model fastback with the factory sunroof and winding mechanism all there. It even worked smoothly! If anybody in the area needs stock sunroof stuff, it may be worth going over to check it out. You may be able to get it cheap. I got a complete door there for my brother's Honda for $40. Hey southeast Texas listees, what's your favorite Type3 boneyard? Say the area bounded by Waco, Austin, Houston, and Beaumont... -Mark '70 Fastback ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
