The Fastback popout window is different than either the SB or Bug. The
weatherstripping is mounted solidly in the window frame. There are no
'mounting holes' for the window. What it has is, about 4 or so inches
from the leading edge of the window at the top and bottom of the
window before it begins to narrow to match the body line, are some
holder like things that are bound to the window/body. When you open
the rear of the window it actually bends the glass out from those
points in front (the 'binders' I mentioned - don't know what they're
really called) to the latch in the back. The latch in the back is
similar to the bug's only slightly longer. It is truly a marvel to see
and blows peoples minds if they realize that the glass is actually
bending!!

Also, does anyone out there have a fastback with

I'd do it for you, but like I said there are no hinge mounting holes
as there is no hinge. My Fastback does have the popout windows.

Good luck with your Fastback and your window search. Both FB's I've
had have had popout's so I've never had to 'look' for them. Good
luck with your search, I'm sure there are some out there for you.
